Refuge Tactical was created out of necessity. If you consider yourself a protector, defender, or a refuge for those you love, it is necessary to have the training to accomplish your goals. Where we notice the inconsistency is that the training must be relevant to you and your situation. Yes, we teach skills such as weapon manipulation, marksmanship, and other things that will apply to any armed defense situation, but we also form training around specific environments. Learning tactics that allow you to clear a structure as part of a team are great, but what if the structure is your home, its the middle of the night, and there is an intruder between you and your children?

Refuge Tactical teaches the courses that will build and benefit any rightfully armed defender, but we are also here to fill the gap and provide training that is tailored to your life. We are here to train the person who is relied upon to defend the household, the mother in the grocery store parking lot, the security member watching over a congregation, and the teacher who is trusted to protect a classroom of students. Refuge Tactical’s owner and primary instructor, Jade Bunn, combines experience from a career in law enforcement as a SWAT team leader/operator and firearms instructor with experience from leading an advanced church security program. Refuge Tactical instructors specialize in firearm training, tactical training, medical training, and security analysis.
